Annie Scully Blank, AMFT
(she/her/hers)
Associate Clinician
Welcome! My name is Annie, I am a dedicated Associate Therapist who recently graduated from Pepperdine University. With over 1.5 years of experience specializing in trauma therapy, I believe the most important part of therapy is the relationship and trust we build between the therapist and client. I am passionate about supporting clients in the LGBTQIA+ community, chronic illness community, and survivors of interpersonal violence. I work with pre-teens, teenagers, individuals, couples, and families.
With a deep commitment to supporting individuals healing from trauma, I utilize evidence-based approaches such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and other integrated approaches customized to each individual client. My practice focuses on helping clients navigate the effects of trauma, including PTSD, anxiety, and depression, empowering them to reclaim their narratives and restore their sense of self. We will work together to build upon your strengths, implement coping skills, process trauma, and begin your healing journey.
I believe in creating a safe, nurturing space for clients to explore their experiences. By fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship, I emphasize trust and transparency throughout the healing process. I have worked with diverse populations, including survivors of childhood abuse, domestic violence, stalking, sexual trauma, chronically ill individuals, and I understand the complexities of trauma recovery.
In addition to clinical practice, I have special interests in advocacy and research. I strongly believe in the importance of creativity and individuality which I bring into my work as well. Outside the office, I enjoy art, music, nature, and spending time with loved ones and my pets, which help maintain a well-rounded life and serve as a source of self-care.
